Basic details

Name: Our Lady of the Flower's Chapel (La Flor)
Description: This chapel has only one nave and was built in 1474. It is located next to the path that went to Quirós Council through Tablao. The architectural ensemble stands out because of the decoration of the door of gothic aesthetics, perceptible in the frames, the the button-shaped details and the imposts. In the inside it preserves an 18th-century altarpiece.
On the first Monday after Easter, La Flor Festival is celebrated here. Hundreds of pilgrims go to the procession of the Virgin accompanied by the sound of the bagpipes and drums. Then, in a country picnic liven up by the most popular songs of the traditional music of the region, delicious dishes of the popular gastronomy are tasted, like for expample “bollu preñáu” (bun filled with chorizo and bacon) or “empaná” (pie), accompanied by the habitual and juicy Asturian cider.
